Privacy policy

1. Who we are and what this covers

1981 LLC (dba Stealth Seller) ("Stealth Seller", "we", "us") is a company incorporated in Delaware, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our web app, our Chrome extension, and our website (together, "the Service"), what we do with it, who we give it to, and what you can tell us to do about it.

It applies to everyone who uses the Service. Sections 9.1 and 9.2 add rights that apply only if you live in a US state that grants them; section 9.3 covers people using the Service from outside the United States.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information. The category names in brackets are the ones used by the California Consumer Privacy Act, so you can match this list against the rights in section 9.1.

Account and contact information [identifiers]. Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash). If you contact support, whatever you choose to put in that message.

Billing information [commercial information]. Your plan, billing period, subscription status, and payment history. Card details go straight to our payment processor and are never stored on our systems — we keep only the last four digits and the card brand so you can tell your payment methods apart.

How you use the Service [internet or other network activity]. The sellers you track, the searches you run, the listings you open, the folders you create, the calculations you run, and which features you use. This is the substance of the product, so we hold it in order to show it back to you.

Device and connection information [identifiers, internet activity]. IP address, browser and version, operating system, screen size, referring page, and timestamps. We derive an approximate location — country and region, not a precise position — from your IP address.

Cookies and similar technologies. See section 13.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information as defined by California law: no government identifiers, no precise geolocation, no biometrics, no health, racial, religious, union, sexual-orientation, or genetic data. Please do not put any of it into a support ticket or a folder note.

3. Where the information comes from

Directly from you, when you register, subscribe, configure the Service, or contact us. Automatically from your device and browser, when you use the Service. And from our payment processor, which tells us whether a charge succeeded and what it was for.

We do not buy personal information from data brokers, and we do not enrich your account with information bought from anyone else.

4. What we use it for

  • Running the Service: authenticating you, storing your trackers, folders, searches, and calculations, and showing you your own data
  • Taking payment, managing your subscription, and sending receipts and billing notices
  • Answering support requests
  • Understanding which features get used, so we know what to build and what to fix
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, credential sharing, scraping, and security incidents
  • Sending you product and marketing email, which you can stop at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email or by emailing us. Service email — receipts, security alerts, billing failures, material changes to these terms — is not marketing and continues while your account is open.
  • Meeting our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not use your personal information to train machine-learning models that serve anyone other than you, and we do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone.

5. The Chrome extension

The extension only runs on Amazon listing pages and the supported retailer sites where a stock check makes sense. On those pages it reads the product identifiers and pricing already displayed in order to fetch fees, profit, rank, and stock and show them back to you.

Specifically, the extension:

  • does not read, collect, or transmit your browsing history on any other site
  • does not read the content of pages outside the sites it supports
  • does not record keystrokes, form contents, or credentials
  • does not sell, rent, or share browsing activity with anyone

What it does send to us is the product identifier being looked at and the account token that says which subscription the lookup belongs to. That is what makes the lookup work and what counts it against your plan's quota.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information only in these situations:

  • Service providers, in order for them to perform a service for us: cloud hosting and databases, payment processing, transactional and marketing email, error monitoring, product analytics, and the support helpdesk. Each is bound by contract to use the information only to provide that service to us and not for its own purposes. Under California law these are "service providers" or "contractors", not third parties buying data.
  • Professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, where they need it to advise us.
  • Legal and safety: where we are required by subpoena, court order, or law, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our terms, or protect the rights or safety of anyone.
  • A successor, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. If that happens, the information moves under this policy, and we will say so on this page before anything changes about how it is handled.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else who wants it for their own marketing.

7. We do not sell or share your personal information

We have not sold personal information, and we have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising, in the twelve months before the date at the top of this page, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act and equivalent state laws. We do not plan to. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing to opt out of. We still honor Global Privacy Control and similar browser opt-out signals when we receive them.

8. How long we keep it

While your account is open, we keep your account and product data so the Service can show it to you.

When you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal information within 30 days, with two exceptions: billing and tax records, which we keep for seven years because federal and state tax law requires it, and security and abuse logs, which we keep for up to twelve months. Backups age out on their own rolling schedule, at most 35 days behind live data.

9. Your privacy rights

9.1 If you live in California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, who we disclosed it to, and to get a copy of it in a portable format
  • Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions the statute allows
  • Correct personal information you believe is inaccurate
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — see section 7; we do neither
  • Limit our use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect any, so there is nothing to limit
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you the Service, charge you a different price, or give you a worse experience because you asked.

You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will ask for proof that you gave them permission and may ask you to confirm directly.

California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code §1798.83) lets residents ask which personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not make such disclosures.

9.2 If you live in another US state with a privacy law

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island each grant broadly similar rights: to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access and obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling with legal effects. We do none of those three, as set out in section 7.

If we deny your request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or writing to privacy@stealthseller.co with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will answer an appeal within 45 days and explain our reasoning. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you how to complain to your state Attorney General.

9.3 If you are outside the United States

We are a US company and your information is stored and processed in the United States, where privacy law differs from that of your own country. By using the Service you understand that this transfer takes place.

If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, we handle your information consistently with the GDPR: we process it to perform our contract with you, to pursue our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service, to meet legal obligations, or with your consent where we ask for it. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

9.4 How to make a request

Email privacy@stealthseller.co, or write to us at 4846 Via Fonti Ln Unit 8, Fontana, CA 92336. Access, correction, and deletion can also be done directly in your account settings, which is faster.

We verify requests by matching them against the email on the account, and for a request to know or delete we may ask you to confirm from that address or to re-authenticate. We answer within 45 days and will tell you if we need a further 45, which the statutes allow. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will tell you before doing anything.

10. Security

We encrypt data in transit with TLS and at rest, hash passwords rather than storing them, restrict internal access to the people whose job needs it, log administrative access, and require multi-factor authentication on the systems that hold customer data.

No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the deadlines the applicable state breach-notification law sets.

11. Children

The Service is for business use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, which is the threshold set by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, and our terms require every account holder to be at least 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email privacy@stealthseller.co and we will delete it.

12. Third-party sites

The Service links to Amazon, to retailer sites, and to other places we do not run. This policy does not cover them. What they do with your information is governed by their own policies, which are worth reading.

13. Cookies and similar technologies

We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, to keep you signed in, remember your theme, and protect against cross-site request forgery. The Service does not work without these, so they are not optional.
  • Analytics cookies, to count feature usage in aggregate and find what is broken.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not let anyone else drop one through us. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking the strictly necessary ones will sign you out and break parts of the Service.

We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of analytics.

14. Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page and move the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects your rights or how we use your information, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect, and where the law requires your consent we will ask for it rather than assume it.
